Flugplatz Barnsen On Ascension Day, it's worth a nice trip. There are many small, different planes to see. Sightseeing flight, bouncy castle, snacks, and carousel. Always on Ascension Day. Inform yourself beforehand if it will actually take place 😊

Almost right on the doorstep. I only came across the large graves while hiking. Through research for other hikes. Unfortunately also completely destroyed, but the stone that lies here is said to have been a capstone.

In the middle of the forest there is a bridge between the ponds for a possible shortcut 😎 The paths here in the city forest are very muddy when it rains. Sturdy shoes recommended.

The monument in honor of Hans von Meding was inaugurated on September 25, 1927 on Ebstorfer Landstrasse. Hans von Meding made great contributions to the Uelzen region, particularly because of his commitment to the development of agriculture. As early as 1912 he was elected to the Reichstag as a member of the Hanover Party and was also committed to agricultural interests there, especially to improving animal breeding. In 1915, at the age of 47, he volunteered for the First World War. He fell on January 5, 1917 in Courland. The monument consists of a boulder on a brick natural stone base weighing 150 hundredweight.
