We found the last section of the hike from the Neumühle to the bridge to be the most beautiful. The path here runs through a varied forest along the Böhme.

The town center with its old half-timbered houses, stables and farm buildings is worth seeing. Mobil Erdgas und Erdöl GmbH extracted oil in Ahrensheide. The pipeline ended at Hollige on the Verden-Walsrode railway line. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollige

A beautiful landscape in a quiet location. Beautiful area both as a bike ride and to simply enjoy the peace and quiet as a walker.

Definitely worth a visit while they're still available. For historical reasons alone. There are several bunkers that are in different states. With some you can only see the edge walls, with others the ceiling is still largely intact. After just a few meters inside an intact bunker, you can sense the depressing atmosphere that will have prevailed this time. The acoustics also change immediately when you enter the bunker. Unfortunately, some bunkers are also abused by revelers who have not received any education and leave their rubbish behind.

An idyllic spot for a rest. It is difficult to get to the water, as the bank drops off steeply and is heavily overgrown. But you definitely have your peace. Only rarely do other cyclists pass by here. Even less often pedestrians or even cars.

Very nice and secluded. Don't be put off by the small wooden fence. The passage along the water wheel is public.
