This is the most important church in Korçë and one of the largest Orthodox churches in Albania. It was built between 1992 and 2010. The previous Orthodox church was destroyed in 1968 by the communist authorities. You can hardly miss the cathedral. The building immediately stands out, with its large central dome, tall towers, and an elegant facade that combines a mix of traditional and modern styles. Be sure to take a look inside as well. The interior is richly decorated with icons, frescoes, and murals depicting biblical scenes and saints. It is not only a church, but also a cultural center where various events take place, such as concerts, exhibitions, and so on.

The Monument to the Unknown Soldier, a powerful memorial to the many Albanian soldiers who fell without a name or grave. The monument forms a symbolic endpoint of the city axis: a place where Korçë makes its military history and collective memory visible in the public domain. The clean design and the open space around it give the whole a subdued, almost ceremonial atmosphere.

In this building, the first Albanian school was opened in 1887 — a milestone in national history. The current museum preserves this memory with original documents, photographs, and teaching materials from the Rilindja period, the Albanian rebirth. The facade and courtyard have been carefully restored, making the museum not only an educational center but also an architectural symbol of Korçë's intellectual tradition. The building itself was constructed in 1840.

The Gjon Mili Museum, with its striking yellow facade, will immediately catch your eye. Not only the exterior facade and the building in which the museum is housed are worth seeing, but also the museum itself. It is dedicated to Gjon Mili, one of the best photographers of the 20th century. The Albanian photographer was born in Korçë and emigrated to Romania as a young child. After high school, he moved to the United States, graduated from MIT in Lighting Engineering, and dedicated himself to the art of photography. In the museum, you will learn more about his life and see 240 photos and interactive spaces on display.

From Kulla Panoramike you can climb up (for us the lift was out of order), at the top you can enjoy a 360-degree view over Korçë and the surrounding mountains. This tower was made in 2014 by the same architect who created the National Museum of Medieval Art. The panorama platform is part of a development plan financed by the EU. However, it is poorly maintained, as the price is the same whether you go up on foot or by lift. The lift also breaks down often, so be prepared to go up on foot. The tower is 33 meters high and is located next to the Tourist Information Center.

A striking, dark red building with large white circular window frames — a modern accent in the urban fabric of Korçë. The geometric facade contrasts sharply with the surrounding historical architecture and marks the transition between the old bazaar district and the newer city zone. The building is five stories high, with a ground-floor establishment called “Mon Cheri”.

The Old Bazaar of Korçë dates back to the Ottoman era and is one of the most charming places in the city. Here you get an ideal picture of daily life in Korçë and the rich cultural and commercial history of the region. About 500 years ago, this was already an important trading center for the city, today you walk through a maze of narrow streets and alleys, lined with traditional Ottoman buildings. After a major fire in 1879, it was rebuilt. It has about 138 cultural monuments and is also known as the Bazaar of Serenades.
