This cemetery belonged to an asylum in the 19th century and was closed in 1895 because it was full. The wall around the cemetery and the trees are still there and a little information board tells the history. Nice and quiet place with a little lake close by.

The way up is easy enough and even pretty in places if you take the route clockwise. If you have the choice - the route and the views from Craig Phadric on the other hill are much better ...

The Hill Fort of Craig Phadrig, meaning 'Patrick's Rock'. Here you can escape the city of Inverness, and enjoy the quiet views from this iron age fort dating back to 300BC. You can also see Ord Hill, another ancient Hill Fort, across the waters of the Beauly Firth.

Really a nice view and the woodlands are well worth the walk up there.

Great woodland walk up and around the fort. The fort itself needs a lot of imagination, but luckily it comes with great views and an information board :-)
