"Bratislava, my hometown and the capital of Slovakia" is the title of the highlight (still). At the marked spot is one of the four viewing platforms on the footpath and cycle path (two on each side of the old bridge). Here you have a beautiful view upstream over the Danube towards the castle with the moorings of the river cruise ships and the new bridge with UFO.

wonderful view over the Danube to the old town and the castle

A pretty steel bridge connects the parts of the city on the right and left of the Danube. The most pleasant bridge for cyclists, as there is a clear separation between car, rail and bicycle traffic. Cyclists and pedestrians share a path that is quite wide. The surface is okay, but could have a little more grip. There is a nice view upstream from the bridge. Ideal crossing point from or to the old town.
