Die Magie von Klammen im Osten Deutschlands
The Tyršův most is a striking steel arch bridge over the Elbe in Děčín. It connects the historic Děčín with the Podmokly district on the left bank of the Elbe and is located immediately below the Pastýřská stěna opposite the castle. Particularly interesting is its construction history: the new steel structure was initially assembled next to the old bridge. On December 9, 1933, it was moved into its final position within a few hours and opened on the same day. Upon its completion, it was considered the largest bridge of its kind in the then Czechoslovakia.

Running along the Kamnitz is NOT possible!!! Edmundsklamm and Wilde Klamm are closed. The path between Janov and Mezná is freely accessible. A wooden bridge crosses the Klamm at a considerable height.

Worthwhile detour to the castle ruins, even if there's quite a lot of steel used everywhere. It looks like it gets pretty crowded in the summer, but now in September it wasn't too busy. For those who also follow a tour with a descent on the path to the left of the upper end of the stairs: It's better to take the same path back or the path marked with yellow to the left at the foot of the castle ruins - the other path looks good at first, but is overgrown a bit further down and blocked by fallen trees.

Very curious... Definitely artificially created. There are endless chisel marks. The side edges look "ground in". You wouldn't get a horse to walk through there, especially since the middle groove is exactly "a shoe width" wide. If anything, I could best imagine a single-track wagon construction that drove there and "worked itself in". The effort to create something like this still seems quite high to me; although one doesn't know what the terrain looked like before or how much rock was removed.
