Hidden away in Spandau lies a fascinating area. The church is only one part of it; the freely accessible grounds of the Johannisstift are a must-see for architecture enthusiasts.

Initially, the i2030 plans only consider an extension of the S-Bahn to Falkenseer Chaussee. However, the feasibility of a further extension to Berlin-Johannisthal is being examined in parallel. A passenger station used to be located here. The existing tracks are used by Havelländische Eisenbahn AG (HVLE). The line, which is still in operation, ends behind the Schönwalder Allee level crossing. As part of surveying work, the following 740-meter-long section to Wichernstraße was exposed. More information about the work can be found at https://www.i2030.de/s-bahn-richtung-falkenhagener-feld-vermessungen-beginnen-mit-freischnitt/.

It's a good walk, flat, and you can't twist your ankle. And of course, don't forget the view.
