Old village church of Zuidlaren. The oldest part of St. Mary's Church, the nave, was built in the 13th century. The tower was built around 1300 and heightened in the 15th century. A very beautiful, tranquil piece of nature. These dead trees in the water look a bit mystical. A wooden bridge crosses the lake, an ideal spot for a quick photo.

The windmill in general is one of the most typical buildings in Holland and should not be missed as a photographic document on a trip.

A very beautiful, tranquil piece of nature. It looks a bit mystical, these dead trees in the water. The paving stones in front of and behind it have become a bit rough and worn over the years, making them ideal conditions for mountain biking, compared to the smooth bike paths :-).

A very beautiful, tranquil piece of nature. It does look a bit mystical, these dead trees in the water. The cobblestones in front of and behind it have become a bit rough and worn over the years, but they're still easy to ride on with a bit less pedaling, even at 6 bar.

The De Boezemvriend polder mill was built in 1871 to replace a previous model, but did not yet have its current name at that time. The mill was used to drain the Zuidlaren polder until 1934.
