September 10, 2026, Alpharetta Big Creek Greenway

Big Creek Greenway Alpharetta Trail is one of my favorite sections of the Big Creek Greenway. The trail is smooth, well maintained, and surrounded by trees, making it a great place for biking, running, or walking. Even though you're close to Alpharetta, it feels peaceful and quiet once you're on the trail. There are plenty of scenic spots along the way, and the mostly flat terrain makes it enjoyable for riders and walkers of all skill levels. It's a great place to get some fresh air and enjoy the outdoors.

The trail covers a total distance of approximately 9 miles, winding its way alongside the Big Creek. The entire route is paved and has consistent shade. You'll have ample opportunities to spot wildlife along the way as well.

Great pathway but best to ride on weekdays and in the mornings before all the walkers and families hope on it.

Nice path, and generally well-cared for. Gets busy on weekends, but can still be enjoyed by those on bicycles. I would recommend the ride.

A small lake in suburban Roswell, Pine Grove Road Lake is the perfect addition to a charming ride through the area.
