Rio Washingtonian Lake, colloquially known as Rio, is a popular escape within Gaithersburg. Along with the trail around the lake you can rent pedal boats, visit one of the many restaurants, or go to the cinema.

This area of Gaithersburg is very nice to visit or to make a mid-ride stop. In addition to the huge lake in the center where you can even rent a swan pedal boat, there are several restaurants where you can recharge and grab a meal.
