December 31, 2024, Pinnacle Peak Park

Pinnacle Peak Park is 150 acres of beautiful, pristine Sonoran Desert. A lovely 2-mile trail leads to the top of Pinnacle Peak, or if you're an experienced rock climber, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the granite summit. It's a wonderful place to spend time in the northern Phoenix area, away from the city.

Fountain Park is a 64-acre recreation park in the center of town. It was constructed in 1970 and is home to a 29-acre, 100 million-gallon lake with a fountain! The huge fountain spout will go off every hour for 15 minutes between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.The only time I will not erupt is in windy conditions.

The Lost Dog Wash Trail leads to a cool overlook over the canal on the east side of Scottsdale. The overlook also has views to the north of McDowell Mountain Ranch.
