The Hercules Fountain was erected in the market square in 1737 and later moved a few meters. The Hercules figure carries a club and is adorned with the coat of arms of Kasendorf: quartered silver and black on the left; a silver cat climbing the divider on a blue field on the right.

In the 18th century, a stone vaulted cellar with cellars was built on the Kasendorf Turmberg hill. These cellars were intended to provide the brewed beer with the necessary temperature for fermentation and storage – especially during the summer months. A cellar festival still takes place every first Sunday in August in the beer cellar of the former Schuhmann communal brewery in Kasendorf. The "Liederkranz 1854" singing club has owned this beer cellar since 2005 and has also renovated it.

The imposing signal tower was built on the foundations of the former keep of a former castle and has stood proudly on the plateau for over 500 years. Those who conquer the 68 steps of the narrow spiral staircase are rewarded with a sweeping view of the Kulmbach region, extending to the Franconian Forest, the Fichtel Mountains, and the Thuringian Forest. Looking south, one can even see as far as the high plateaus of Franconian Switzerland.

On the Reuther Berg hill, at the top of the steep slope, stands the Sun Temple, a pavilion offering panoramic views far across Kasendorf. This is the second Sun Temple on this site. The first was built before 1936. The second, current Sun Temple was rebuilt in 1948/49. Two Kasendorf residents, master carpenter Fritz Schneider and carpenter Ferdinand Richter, undertook the construction of the pavilion themselves.

The rock arch near Kasendorf is definitely worth the short detour from the main path. Water, sun, and frost have caused the erosion of the stones: Summer thunderstorms abruptly cool the heated rock, and these temperature fluctuations alone can create tiny hairline cracks. Water seeps into these cracks, freezes at sub-zero temperatures, and expands. This then splits the stone – creating the arch.

Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the view during our visit in December because thick fog covered the landscape. However, it's definitely a good place to rest, and a sign indicates exactly where the view extends.
