The church, dedicated to Saint George, the fighter against all evil, was probably built soon after. Its north wall still shows what it might have originally looked like: beautiful fieldstone masonry with small arched windows.

The asphalt is now "semi" ... in the direction of Südergellersen (slightly uphill) this is less of a problem than the other way around ;-)

Ratsapotheke At the corner of Lüneburger Straße / Krummer Arm, at the end of the pedestrian zone, stands perhaps the most beautiful house in Bad Bevensen: the Ratsapotheke. It was built by a doctor in 1798 and became the town's first pharmacy in 1817. In 1984, the house was renovated and the half-timbered facade was turned into a gem in the old town. The building still houses a pharmacy today. Also special are several vines over a hundred years old that climb up the facade.
