Through the green of the trees, you can see the columns of wind turbines as if framed, and hear the noise of the wind turbines in the wind from above. There are two or three hunting blinds, built almost picturesquely into the trees like treehouses.

Hatzenbühl has been an independent parish since the end of the 13th century, following its separation from the parish of Herxheim. A medieval church existed in Hatzenbühl from at least this time. It already featured the current Gothic church tower. Between 1755 and 1758, it was replaced by a Baroque church, although the historic church tower was retained. The Baroque Passion Cross in the churchyard was likely erected during this period. The current Baroque-style hall church was finally built between 1929 and 1930 according to designs by the Kaiserslautern architect Hans Seeberger. The Baroque chancel was preserved and now serves as a side chapel.
