Even if you don't actually have to cross to the other side, the crossing is worth it for the experience alone. Especially since the ferry is free, but a donation is requested. It has seven axes on the long side and five axes on the narrow side facing the street on the upper floor, with vertical window formats with vertical lintels. It is different on the ground floor, where there is a protruding, multi-part stained glass window with the municipal coat of arms to the southeast. On the street side, the period lettering "POST OFFICE" is in delicate metal letters. The northwest side is simply designed, with a dormer window and raised access axis. The garage is a simple, single-storey brick building with a gable roof and six access gates; parts of the historic small paving stones have been preserved. The characteristic post office building from the early post-war period follows the conservative design language of the 1930s and 1940s.
