The Nussbach parish church, dedicated to Saint Leonard, was first documented in 1366. The church, along with its branch churches, was established as an independent parish in 1784, when it was separated from the Kirchdorf parish association. Architecturally, the church is primarily Gothic in style; the sacristy and the church tower, adjacent to the west of the building, were completed in 1900 and 1905, respectively. A special feature of this building is the small chapel located on each side of the church tower. Approximately one kilometer northeast of Kremsmünster Abbey, on a hill above the town, stands the chaplain's church, dedicated to St. Stephen. Its origins date back to the Romanesque period. The first church building dates back to 1098 and was consecrated as a parish church. A new building, essentially the same as the present building, was constructed in 1445. It was remodeled in the Baroque style between 1654 and 1656, and the interior was remodeled in the Rococo style between 1753 and 1754. On August 5, 1985, the tower collapsed during a violent storm, prompting the tower to be rebuilt. Starting in 1997, the building underwent extensive restoration to mark its 900th anniversary. Further interesting information about St. Stephen's can be found on Wikipedia at https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaplaneikirche_Kirchberg.

The Catholic parish church in Ried is dedicated to the patron saint of St. Nicholas. The first building was constructed between 1160 and 1165, and in 1179, this church was mentioned as an independent parish in a letter from the then Pope. The church in its present size was built between 1476 and 1522, after the previous building had to be closed due to dilapidation. After a fire in 1736 and its partial destruction, the building underwent extensive restoration. Further restorations took place repeatedly in the following decades, most recently in 1986 when Solnhofen slabs were laid as flooring. A special feature of this church is the ivy-covered lower section of the church tower, which was declared a natural monument by the government of Upper Austria in 1984 due to its density and compactness. Further information about this interesting church can be found on Wikipedia at https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pfarrkirche_Ried_im_Traunkreis.
