The water tastes a bit strange! 🤣

The "drinking fountain," by the way, is a rainwater container and is used to water the flowers at the memorial! 😉

This beautiful bridge over the Rabnitz was made of larch wood in 1999 by students from the construction department of the HTBL and VA Mödling during practical lessons. The large-leaved plants overgrow everything a few meters wide next to the water on the Rabnitz and can no longer be eradicated. Here next to the bridge, the "weeds" even look very decorative, I think.

A unique experience that surprised us! It used to be the street behind the village, today it is the garden path, where there are old stables, which no longer have any function today and which are partially in ruins. Now the hiker or cyclist will find eight wooden stadiums on which there are tablets with poems by Hans Raimund, a literary man who lives in Hochstraß, and benches or floral decorations in front of them - beautiful, simple places with a view of the country. Raimund is deeply grateful to be allowed to live here and wants to draw attention to how beautiful and worth preserving the barns are.
