A mountain hut and alpine pasture with catering in the basin area of the mountain world. Very well accessible for cyclists via a gravel dead-end road. Near the pasture, there is a water filling station, ideal for cooling down or refilling drinking bottles.

The characteristic shape of the entrance to this karst cave, which resembles a castle or the hilt of a sword, has led to various legends. The most famous is associated with the passage of the Huns under Attila through this area. According to it, the treasure of the pagan leader would be hidden here. However, no one has found the treasure yet. The cave is flowed through by the stream that drains from the neighboring moor. Source: https://www.geoparcoalpicarniche.org/de/geostop/attilas-hoehle/

At the Waidegger Alm, fresh milk from about 20 cows is processed directly on-site in the summer into Schotten (a type of curd cheese), alpine butter, and the protected Gailtaler Almkäse (alpine cheese). You can try the farm's own products while enjoying the magnificent view. Opening hours: Daily from June to the end of September from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
