Unfortunately, the fountain was dismantled in 2024 due to the construction of the new main square. Although a new fountain was erected, it cannot compare to the Kilian Fountain, which had long been a prominent feature of the cityscape.

At the lower hairpin bend, the trees offer a clear view of Rosenau in the Ybbstal valley and, above all, of the hills opposite the Sonntagberg - in the background left is the Blümelsberg above Seitenstetten, in the front is the village of Adersdorf on the slope of the Galgenbühel.

The scenery is very beautiful, but the riding technique and terrain are definitely not up to the challenge of mountain biking!!!! What a pity😩

Pilgrimage Church of the Holy Trinity and St. Michael. The Baroque basilica on the Sonntagberg is one of the most striking landmarks of the Mostviertel region. The remarkable Baroque high altar, an independent circular temple on a high base with twelve fluted columns – symbolizing the twelve tribes of Israel – was built from 1751 to 1757 according to a design by the architect and sculptor Melchior Hefele. At the center of the high altar stands the miraculous image of the Holy Trinity from 1614.

The Voralpenblick observation tower has been enthroned on Buchenberg since 1977 – a slender tower standing 730 meters above the Mostviertel region. On a clear day, the spiral-shaped platform offers breathtaking panoramic views – from the forest and Mühlviertel region, across the Alpine foothills, and into the Ennstal Alps. A rotating arrow on the railing explains the peaks. Whether you're hiking, biking, or driving, it's worth stopping here to enjoy the view. Erected in 1977 by the Ertl Tourist Association under chairman Karl Schlögelhofer – on Buchenberg at an altitude of around 730 meters. The name "Voralpenblick" says it all: On a clear day, the panoramic view extends from the forest and Mühlviertel region in the north to the Ennstal Alps and foothills in the south. The spiral-shaped platform on a slender pillar is not only architecturally attractive, but also barrier-free – just a few steps lead to the 360° viewing platform.
