In the middle of the Kalkalpen National Park region lies the rustic Unterrannerreith alpine hut, an absolute insider tip for mountain bikers. Here you can experience a real alpine feeling and at the same time be perfectly connected to a network of trails and varied mountain bike routes - and all of this includes the Pyhrn-Priel Card, which offers you numerous advantages. After a sporty mountain bike tour through the idyllic alpine pastures and dense forests of the region, you return to the hut, where a cozy parlor with a tiled stove awaits you. You can end the evening with a view of the lush green meadows and the grazing cows, maybe even by the campfire with a spectacular mountain panorama. The alpine hut has space for up to seven people and is perfect for groups or families. Even though there is no electricity here, you can charge your electronic devices on the farm. If you are looking for peace and closeness to nature, then you will feel completely at home here. More information and booking at: https://www.urlaubambauernhof.at/de/hoefe/unterrannerreith.

The tour has its highlights but the bottom line is that you walk a lot on tarmac and the Moosgierler Inn has unfortunately been permanently closed since April 1st, 2024. I was out there as a hiker, but I think it would be better suited as a cyclist. The view is very good most of the time 👍 I would rate the route around 2.5 out of 5 points.
