The "Haager Weiher" gravel pit lake is beautifully situated in the heart of the Amper Valley and, with its surrounding land, is ideal for recreational purposes. The spacious 1.8-hectare sunbathing area and approximately 5-hectare water surface invite young and old to swim and relax.

West of Oberzolling you can see a diverse system of locks at the large weir in the Amper. It branches off the so-called Amper channel from the Amper. It runs south of Zolling and north of the Amper and, after 6.6 km, feeds the hydroelectric power station in Haag an der Amper. This system went into operation in 1923. It generates 4.1 MW of electricity that can power over 5000 homes. Since 1986, the canal water has also been used to cool the Anglberg power plant near Zolling.
