The "Golden Flower Rabbit" fountain is located at Kreuzplatz. It was designed by conceptual artist Heinrich Brummack in 2003. The artist lived in Westerkappeln for around twenty years. In a cast-iron bowl in red and black, a rabbit cast from bronze in ducat gold sits on a natural stone base next to a red flower. A hydraulic rotating device allows the rabbit to change direction again and again. The fountain is not in use in winter, when the rabbit is "locked up" under a blue cage bell.
