The old town hall is a gem of half-timbered craftsmanship and was built in 1746. The ground floor initially served as a fire station. Later, a municipal bakery was established here, and finally, a schoolroom was even built, where classes were held from 1857 to 1864. A detention cell was a must. The community hall took up almost the entire upper floor. After the Second World War, when many displaced persons from Yugoslavia, Hungary, and Romania, and later also from Bohemia and Moravia, came to Wössingen, the administrative rooms of the town hall had become too small. The community was therefore faced with the need to build a new town hall that met the needs of the times. Construction began in 1967, and the new town hall was opened in 1969. The old town hall is privately owned and is a listed building.
