🚲✨ The section of the cycle path between Darfeld and Laer is one of the most beautiful stretches of the entire route and offers you pure cycling pleasure on the best asphalt. As you roll east from Rosendahl, the path leads you through the wide, open park landscape, which is particularly captivating here with its tranquility and the gentle transitions between fields and small wooded areas.

In my opinion, it's merely a connecting route, nothing special! Okay, the road surface is smooth, and you can pick up some decent speed on the downhill slope towards Havixbeck. However, coming from Havixbeck, there's first a mandatory cycle path with a mediocre surface. After that, it continues on a busy road without a shoulder. The view is only so-so.

Ideal for a chain check 💪 Short but steep ramp up the Daruper Berg. Max. gradient approx. 16%. If you want, you can take a break at the top. There is a wooden bench with a beautiful view of the Daruper valley (as long as the corn isn't high!)

The vision: to bake a loaf of bread, and everything that goes with it should happen within a 20-meter radius. Grain cultivation, milling, dough preparation, baking. The initiator and local climate and sustainability activist Paul Königsmann hopes to bring life back to the 21-meter-high Letter Mill, built in 1812. A super regional bread is to be created here, while the windmill's blades turn again after so many years of inactivity. Official permits and the necessary renovations still stand in the way of success. But then it will be: climate-friendly, super regional bread straight from Lette!
