The church belongs to the Emskirchen parish in the Neustadt an der Aisch deanery in the Nuremberg church district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria. The choir tower of the hall church is essentially medieval, and its upper floors and eight-sided curved roof were only added in 1960. The nave from 1687 was renovated in 1815. The choir, i.e. the ground floor of the choir tower, is covered with a cross-ribbed vault, the nave, in which two-story galleries are built on three sides, has a wooden beam ceiling on joists.
