The observation tower at Am weissen Stein offers a striking stair climb... the view into the stairwell is fantastic.

The Weißer Stein Trail - a really great route! Newly built and really just for mountain bikers, with no hikers on the trail. I would hardly have expected that such a trail would be built here in Baden-Württemberg, but all the better! After the climb you can take a short break at the restaurant or at the small observation tower (bringing your own food is fine), and then you're off. Right at the start there is a jump, followed by a few beautifully shaped berms and smaller kickers. Then it goes down into a depression with big wallrides and really decent kickers. You have to pick up the pace and push the pedals hard to take the jumps well. The flow is great, and a real highlight for adrenaline junkies - simply well done!

The Steinbrecher and Weißer Stein trails are really awesome! The routes are great to ride, especially when it's a bit wetter - the sandy ground holds perfectly and you have a lot of grip. Both trails are absolutely beginner-friendly and a great alternative to the old Dossenheim DH. The first part is just perfect for having fun: There are a few jumps, but to really get going you have to pick up the pace and pedal hard because it's a bit flat. The Lore is my absolute highlight - it gives you a real jungle feeling, just beautifully overgrown and natural. At the end there is a higher drop and two steep shoots, but the last section isn't really worth it. You lose a lot of altitude, and if you skip this part you'll be back at the parking lot quicker and ready for the next round! All in all a really fun round that offers something for all levels - ideal for several runs a day!
