The old town hall is a great place to rest. There's a lovely café inside and shady spots outside. St. Michael's Church is worth a visit, beautifully renovated.

The sculpture is located on the corner of Nibelungenstrasse and Schulstrasse, opposite the now demolished "Blue Palace". The sculpture "The Bath in Dragon's Blood" is from a series of 14 sculptures by the artist Jens Nettlich based on the Nibelungenlied. Siegfried bathes in the blood of the slain dragon, which makes him invulnerable except for a small spot where a linden leaf has fallen. This half-timbered house had been owned by the Brückmann family since the 18th century. It was also called the "Brückmann House" or the "Glöcknerhaus". Heinrich Brückmann was a carpenter by trade and since his apartment and workshop were close to the church, he also held the office of bell ringer. Since 2000, a local history museum has been located in the still preserved workshop and in the courtyard and the adjacent garden. On display are machines, tools and equipment that people used in earlier years to work the soil and feed the animals, a music museum and a small schoolroom. The exhibits were provided by the local population. Source: https://www.buerstadt.de/fileadmin/dateien/dateien/Kultur_und_Freizeit/20190719_Kultur_Historischer_Rundweg_Flyer.pdf
