The Chiemgau Ostrich Farm is a special place in the heart of Bavaria: Here you can experience ostriches up close—a real highlight of my tour. Right next door is a farm shop with various ostrich products.

We went to the Kampenwand cable car. It's definitely worth the trip up there. Just bring long pants and a jacket, even in summer.

Apparently, the old bench was replaced with a new one with a table for snacks in the last few months. See my photos! Wonderful rest area with shade under a tree! 170 meters below, there's a new self-service café on the farm, but it's only open on weekends.

The Chiemsee-Uferweg on the north side near Seebruck is simply great to ride and, fortunately, 65 percent shaded.
