The first church in Mulsum, which was a small baptistery, was built in 786 by Willehad. Around 1100, Mulsum became an independent parish with its own pastor, who in earlier times still came from Harsefeld. The church was built of fieldstones. A great cycling and hiking route leads along here. There is a rest area in the immediate vicinity.

This is St. Peter's Church! This Evangelical Lutheran Baroque hall church was built in 1722 with a three-sided chancel made of brick. Further information: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St.-Petri-Kirche_(Wilstedt)

There's actually a mandatory cycle path from Dipshorn to Wilstedt, which is quite good to ride on since the asphalt is in decent condition. But if the traffic is light, I'd prefer the road.

At the instigation of Selsingen pastor Walter Meyer, a collection was taken up in the village in 1952 for new church bells in Selsingen, as the old bells had been removed during the war and melted down for the production of grenades and other armaments. The collection was successful, so that part of it could be used to purchase a new village bell. The dedication took place on Sunday, September 28, 1952, at 3 p.m. Until the 1990s, the bell was rung by pulling a bell rope by hand. Today, a timer controls the electric drive of the bell, which rings every evening at 6 p.m. (Source: Sign commemorating 800 years of Godenstedt).
