Nice for taking photos or driving past, but it's not really worth taking a break.

Quiet rest area. When we were there, they warned about hornets.

The Kroppen landscape park is beautiful with an area of at least 17 hectares. The Kroppener Schloss once stood here, built in 1679 and blown up in 1948, a victim of the communist ideology of the time. It reminded me of a text that we had to read in school, in which a manor wall was torn down, nothing was to remain, Junkernland in the hands of the peasants. This pained me a lot, because I loved the sandstone wall in my grandmother's garden, which used to be the plum orchard of the manor house in our village. Devoid of any ideology, I didn't understand why everything had to be destroyed and even the walls, ours was teeming with lizards. Before the demolition, a brewery was interested in Kroppen, and it could have been a company holiday home.
