In an ark, large and finely built, of wood like the ship you already see. Not just a tree trunk, no, pure heartwood and corewood, the planks, the rudder, even the compass altar tower. The animals inside, oh what fun: No plastic, no steel, just oak measure. The elephant with a needle hat made of oak bark, the turtle wears a crown of birch bark. The lion roars softly: „I am made of maple wood! With grain like a seam, as soft as summer wood.“ The giraffe, long-necked, finely spun from spruce, its spots are marbled, like light through window beauty. The zebra stripes? Wood carving, of course! Milled like zebra crossings, wonderful. The parrot made of cherry wood, colorful and bright tones, sings: „Polish the doilies, let us revel in beauty!“ The mice gnaw door seals made of birch bark, and the ravens tap out knots from walnut core. The rooster on the bow crows: „A mast of old oak, on which every grain of courage and daring unfolds.“ The ark rocks gently, shimmering golden in the light, the wood tells stories, every splinter speaks. And when the storm comes, it holds fast like a dream: Because wood loves water – and water loves every space. So they sail on, the colorful wooden society, with carving generosity as the greatest strength. And whoever sees the ark, understands in an instant: The heart of wood beats most securely, you know that.
