A beautiful view of an old bend in the Spree south of Beeskow. At first, you wouldn't believe this is a "dead" branch of the Spree. What's missing is a bench where you could enjoy the view for a while longer.

The Holy Spirit Hospital was first mentioned in 1603. It is a single-storey building with a hipped mansard roof and is a listed building. The park south of the hospital used to house a small chapel and the hospital's cemetery (god's acre). Some gravestones and memorial stones still remind us of the former purpose of this site, including the grave of the French city treasurer in the service of the city of Beeskow, Jean Pierre Barthélemy. The Soviet honorary cemetery was established in 1948 on a part of the area to the northwest of the old cemetery.

At the northern tip of the Spree Island, two viewing points were created to the left and right of the slipway, each reminiscent of a lookout (mast top) on old ships. Both platforms are equipped with a bench that invites you to rest and observe. Incidentally, it is also a nice photo point.

The playground in the Fontaneviertel, which opened in 2023, "... offers children of different age groups enough space and play value on several play areas to throw themselves into wild adventures. Leaf tips on the posts and printed HPL walls provide the rainforest character." (Spiel-Bau GmbH, newsletter dated April 19, 2023).

It is not only the oldest house in Beeskow, it is even the oldest house in the eastern Margraviate of Brandenburg! The house has been renovated in accordance with monument protection regulations and is very beautiful to look at from the outside. You can take a look inside thanks to the "glass entrance".
