A solid, covered rest area along the trail, complete with trash cans. It's nice to be able to leave your trash there.

Original fish-shaped privacy walls at the edge of the Vaschvitz holiday home complex. They don't fulfill their intended purpose, but that's fine with us; they're a nice eye-catcher.

Delicious fish dishes and homemade ice cream, popular with locals and tourists alike for over 60 years. How about a scoop to go? Or inside in the restaurant, or in the small beer garden when the weather's nice. Bikes must be parked outside, but that's really not a problem around here.

The small firefighting and village pond was revitalized and redesigned as part of a federally funded project between 2021 and 2023. The goal was to create refuges for animals, give nature space to develop, and at the same time re-establish a village center with a pleasant atmosphere for people. Measures such as aerating the pond and removing non-native and diseased trees around it were part of this. Several information boards explain the project, piles of stones and deadwood serve as refuges for animals, benches were installed, and a path was laid out so that we can walk all the way around the pond. The pond, along with the flowering meadow and orchard opposite and the rest area at the book phone booth, is part of the island biotope. A beautiful path along the reeds. Occasionally, beautiful views when the reeds aren't too high.

There is also a pumping station near the small bridge. This spot used to be a railway bridge, as this section of the trail was part of the narrow-gauge railway line between Bergen and the Wittow ferry until the early 1970s.
