There's a truly magnificent moor to see here. The viewing platform was built on the foundations of the old Wagnerfehn mill.

The St. Nicolai Church in Werdum, which is visible from afar due to its location on a mound, dates back to 1230-1250. On sandstone slabs that are inserted into the buttresses of the central choir window on the east side, there are inscriptions that date the construction of the choir to 1476, during the reign of the chiefs Hero Omken and Hicko Boyings. The tower with the characteristic open lantern was added to the church in 1763.
