Some benches and if the weather god is kind, a great view of the Allgäuer and Vorallgäuer mountains. To the left is the Hochgrat and to the right the Hochhädrich. The close-up shots were taken with the Sony DSC-HX-400.

My date from 2025 was total nonsense, my brother and I cycled in 2026 towards Buxheim to the construction site when the construction workers had finished for the day. Do not ride during the day under any circumstances, it is far too dangerous. The detour via Heimertingen still exists and probably also until next year. It could become really beautiful when it is finished, whenever that may be.

The suspension bridge and the approximately 20-meter-high observation tower invite visitors to explore. From the tower, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the weir and the idyllic floodplains of the Iller River. A pebble beach is also located nearby, right on the riverbank, perfect for dipping your feet in the cool water.
