Yes, that is a beautiful area, I still hope that nothing changes there when the Rhein-Main-Link (power line) is built along this area. Working width 75m, remove tree stand 45m keep clear forever so that the cables are not damaged by growing trees and access roads for possible repairs. Then continue through the Taunus on the north side towards Wiesbaden.

This is a very nice route from Maibach to Michelbach. I think one should add dates to photos with windbreak on the route and the next person who walks or rides this tour and finds that it has been cleared and perhaps also takes photos, also adds dates and passes on the information that the route is clear. Could the posts be sorted by date (Komoot)

Historical bridge - "Donkey Bridge" The small bridge is located between Glashütten and Steinberg and leads over the Nidder. According to oral tradition, the name of the bridge comes from the donkeys that used to walk the way to the Igelhäuser mill and back over the bridge with heavy loads on their backs. The bridge was also often used by the villagers to get to Bornplatz in front of the Scheidwald, where they fetched water. You can find out more about the bridge on an information board on the "Eisenpfad", right next to the bridge.
