Very fine waffles, no wonder the owner is Belgian. The extension in the form of a regular bus service in the garden is also nice. Partly quite crowded, as it is a tourist magnet.

"Simbi's Palace" is located in an old grocery shop from 1915. A couple from Belgium and Denmark fell in love with the place and the region. So they restored the historic building and converted it into a coffee house. Most of the original shop fittings are still intact today. This café offers you more than just good coffee, cakes and Belgian waffles. You can chat with the locals, pick up valuable tips from the owners and enjoy the beautiful landscape through the window of the cosy interior. A place to feel good! It is open daily all year round.

Coffee was good, we didn't have waffles, but we had very good ones at Café Litlibaer.

With us the road was still closed, so we hiked the last 3.5 km on the gravel road, with a very strong wind. Great prospects. Northernmost road in all of Iceland. When you come up, the radar station is on the right in the back, and on the left in the back is the Bolafjall viewpoint (so there are 2 separate highlights here). Definitely highly recommended!
