The Church of the Apostle Paul and Saint Astitus was built between 1994 and 2002 and consecrated on May 3, 2009. The apostle is considered the first Christian preacher in northern Illyria. A church was built in his memory on the edge of Cape Paulus, today Kehis i Pallys. Saint Astitus is the first martyr, martyred in 100 AD in Durres during the reign of Emperor Trajan (98-117).

Durres Town Hall was built in 1929 on the traditional town square. It consists of three floors and a basement. The first floor at the entrance to the façade features three arches, while the second floor above it features an interior balcony with columns. The building culminates in a square tower on the left side, which also houses the town clock.
