As of today, September 2024, at least 3 wooden bridges have collapsed. The path is also officially closed with a sign between Litochoro and Prionia. We walked it anyway, as it is relatively easy to cross when the water is low. But do this at your own risk!

In about an hour from Prionia you reach this rest area with a small shelter and a water source, which had no water in the summer. After a good rest you can continue.
