The Palais de Justice in Nice was inaugurated on October 17, 1892. It was built on the site of the former Dominican monastery, which had previously been demolished, following a building permit requested in 1890 by the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes. This imposing neoclassical building is the work of the departmental architect Auguste-Vincent Dieudé-Defly. Today, the building houses the Grand Court of Nice (TGI) – the other courts are spread across various locations in the city – as well as the Nice Bar Association.

An incredible building perched on a steep cliff. In front of it, an octopus and a two-man submarine.

A staircase with a magnificent view leads out - alternatively, an elevator (usually with short waiting times)

Lovely square in Aix. I passed by at night, but it's even prettier with the Christmas decorations!

I know him from old television, from Jean-Jacques Cousteau.

Magnificent fountain with the Cours Mirabeau. Resting point and starting point for very diverse circuits and nearby countryside. The only downside: Aix en Provence is absolutely not equipped for cyclists, but fortunately you can get out of it quite quickly (Gametta and its roundabout below deserve to be very careful)
