Not a particularly nice location at the crossroads, but at least it's the first bench I've seen in a while on my walk today. A little further on, there are two more picnic benches in a slightly nicer location.

Benches always appear when you don't need them. On my walk today, I would have liked to take a break south of the Wümme lowlands, for example, at the Kreienhopsbach stream, but there wasn't a bench anywhere in sight. I had just used a bench on the North Trail – and suddenly, there were the next picnic benches. And in a much nicer location. So, plan for this on your next hike.
