After the peaks it's all flat terrain and definitely more busy on a dry day. Walk the way back after the last peak if you prefer the challenge of it.

The starting point was within the smaller tower blocks in Wester Hailes. There are many cycleways by canal paths with plenty people using them in this area and in Edinburgh in general
