"Gentle" is extremely relative. It's a pretty rough lane with some pretty crazy gradients either way you ride it, but nothing for very long. If you want a break do so at the main corner where there is a little brook in the shade of Snowdon. A fair bit tougher than the climb over Rhyd to the south.
