A very cozy, authentic hut with lots of wood. It's off-grid, with a spring in the front garden and lights powered by solar panels. You flush the toilet with a bucket of water from the spring. A true adventure! The dormitories consist of long rows of bunk beds with somewhat narrow mattresses. As Tamara wrote, you can only reserve the hut by phone. The hut is only run if there are reservations, so don't arrive unannounced. The hut warden speaks perfect Hoch Deutsch for those who aren't from Switzerland. Payment is made in cash. As an Alpenverein member, I paid CHF 57 for half board (summer 2025). No room in this hut? The Murgseehütte is also very beautiful.
