Alviken is a lovely lake to walk around. A wide path circles the lake, passing by the island of Storön. There are also picnic tables where you can stop for a break along the way.

Storön is a long, narrow island that separates Lake Alviken and Lake Byrviken. A pleasant, wide path takes you across the island through wooded and rural surroundings.

Boats are available to take you across the channel to (or from) the island. It’s a lovely way to add a little extra fun to your walk.

Very nice village with many well-kept old farms and houses. A tip are also the restaurants in town.

At one point, you can see an old steamboat that's set up like a private boat. If it is still ready? Unfortunately, there was nobody nearby who could have been asked. The wet spots on the way pile up now. Many, however, have been bridged by bridges.

The shelters along the way offer a grill option and space to sit inside and out. We took the opportunity to strengthen ourselves a bit.

The web leads here over farm roads away from the village into the forest and the lake. Once you have arrived at the lake, sturdy shoes, best hiking boots is announced. These should also be waterproof, as later on this hike still several wet spots will come.
