Around 1825, the Brabant Student Guild of Our Lady was founded. This student guild visited various locations throughout the province during the summer holidays. Their stay often resulted in the construction of a small chapel. In 1943, Eersel was the place where the "Brabant Student Guild" settled. Before the guild went to camp, the now-renowned architect J.H.A. Bedaux drew up a design. Mr. K. Bullens and Mr. J. Bedaux fondly recall their stay in Eersel. His first task upon arrival was to find a suitable location. After finding one, they contacted the pastor and the landowner. Building materials were then gathered, and several entrepreneurs proved to be generous donors. The chapel is a simple stone building with tiled roofs. The front facade, which houses the entrance, extends slightly above the roof in a triangular shape. An iron cross stands at the top. The entire masonry has been whitewashed. This was done

The chapel was built in 1464 in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was used for masses, but there were many rules to follow. For example, no mass was allowed on Sundays, no business was allowed in the chapel, and it had to be locked after each mass to prevent pigs from entering. After a while, it became clear that the chapel wasn't used much, and people preferred to visit the main church. The chapel served several purposes afterward. It was used as a town hall, later as a prison, and at one point, it was put to practical use as a fire engine storage facility. Now it's simply a chapel again.
