Børkop Mill (Børkop Mølle) is one of Denmark’s best-preserved and oldest watermills. This historic complex features a picturesque half-timbered mill building, which operated commercially until 1970. Today, it stands as a cultural and natural landmark, functioning as a museum, a restaurant, and a popular site surrounded by scenic nature trails along the mill stream.

Gauerslund Church is located high up, roughly in the middle of Gauerslund municipality. The church's choir and part of the nave were built in the 12th century in Romanesque style from ashlars, making it one of the country's very old churches. Over time, it has been rebuilt and remodeled several times. The church was at some point extended westward by 9.5 meters and the burial chapel, porch and tower were added. The most recent addition is the tower, which was built in 1918 when the old tower had cracks in the same place and was therefore demolished. August 26, 2023, Smidstrup Church

The church was built the same with approx. 1500 other Danish churches in the latter half of the 12th century. It has an original Romanesque nave and choir, while the tower, porch and side chapel were added from the end of the 15th century. The roof is leaded throughout. Smidstrup church is first mentioned approx. 1325 and it is known that it remained well under Ribe Cathedral's Contorat in 1330. The tax returns testify to a well-fed parish. After the Reformation, the church came under the crown, and since then it has been traded 11 times. The last time was when Mrs. Catrine Elkjær, Vellingård handed over the church as an independent institution to the parish council in 1918. This hill is not as steep and long as the Østerby hill. In addition, a new cycle path has also been constructed on this hill.

Beautiful buildings at the turning point when cycling towards Trelde Næs. Lie approx. 1 km after the campsite and there is a small table/bench and toilets.

Idyllic rural scenery, as taken from the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen.
