As the first church was badly damaged and the population had increased, a new church was built between 1729 and 1733 and consecrated by the auxiliary bishop Christoph Ignatius von Gudenus in 1733. The original church was torn down, but the old church tower was preserved and given a baroque dome. A baptismal font from around 1500 also comes from the first church. From the middle of the 19th century, this church became too small again as the number of residents and churchgoers increased. It only got the name "Old Church" when the new church was built at the end of the 19th century on the opposite side of the street. The church was renovated in 1977, 1982 and 1995 and repainted in 2002.
