Tips from the Community

CSW59
August 8, 2026, Camper Van Parking Area

This motorhome parking space at the Travemünde fishing harbor is an ideal starting point for waiting for ferry departures at Skandinavienkai. There are currently (as of 2026) 49 parking spaces, all level, cleanly paved. Electricity costs €1 per 3 KW (coin-operated!), disposal is also possible. The site offers no further amenities, and there is little shade. However, it is very suitable for a short stay. You can easily walk to the center of Travemünde. It's very lively in the summer, with many small shops and stores for every need. You can also eat well there - best of all, of course, is freshly caught fish from the many stalls on the beach promenade.

Near 54° North latitude (slightly south), Fitz is the better "Important" for me. You see more, can observe more people, and qualitatively they don't differ much. In family jargon, Fitz is just called "Café Weniger Wichtig" by us.
