The watermill, first mentioned in 1320, was rebuilt in 1866 and decommissioned exactly 100 years later. In 1982, it was converted into a residential building. From 1904, a power plant operated on the site, supplying electricity to Hagen and Dobersdorf, as well as the church, rectory, and school, until the turbine was decommissioned and the mill demolished in 1930.

Here, the bakery trade is still practiced in the truest sense of the word. The grain for the organic bread comes from the neighborhood. The Passader Backhaus farm in the north knows how to combine ancient craftsmanship with enjoyment. How it all began Even the best organism cannot function without a stable and reliable backbone. For the Passader Backhaus, this backbone is the Göttsch organic farm, and vice versa. From the very beginning, close cooperation with the bakery was the foundation for the profitability of the comparatively small farm, with 76 hectares of arable land.

The natural area features numerous protected areas in almost all protection categories. Only a small number of areas are designated as true nature reserves, including the Alter und Neuer See bird sanctuary south of Sulzheim-Mönchstockheim. Another larger area is the Dürrfelder and Sulzheimer Wald fauna-flora habitat, which is also one of the largest forest areas within the Steigerwald foothills. The area is also part of the Schweinfurt Basin and Northern Steigerwald Foothills bird sanctuary.

The old watermill was first mentioned in 1320. The current watermill buildings were built in 1866. In 1908, the Hagen estate was granted the right to use the Hagener Au, which allowed an electricity plant to be operated in the adjacent mill building from 1911 onward. It supplied the Hagen and Dobersdorf estates with electricity. After the provost's estate was electrified by Schleswag in 1922, it was closed down in 1930 and subsequently demolished. After it was no longer economically viable, operations ceased in 1966. In 1982, the mill building was converted into a residential building. Location: Schleswig-Holstein, Probsteierhagen
